ABOUT THE PASTOR
Pastor Scott Hillman was born and raised in Hutchinson, Kansas. At the age of 23 he visited an apostolic church for the first time. A year later, at the age of 24, he finally reached the end of his rope and realized his great need for God. Knowing of a certainty that he had finally found truth and hope at an apostolic church, he returned on Sunday morning, November 21, 1988 and received the baptism of the Holy Ghost! That evening he was baptized in the only saving name of Jesus Christ. His life was transformed by the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ and now he is a new creature in Christ Jesus.
In 1992, he married his second gift from God, Cindy. They have been married now for 17 years and have three wonderful children, Amy, Matthew, and Breana.
Military Service
Pastor Hillman was an enlisted member of the U.S. Army from November 1986 - November 1989 and stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas with the 1st Infantry Division. He received his honorable discharge after his three year commitment.
Education
After serving in the U.S. Army, he attended Kansas State University where he received his B.S. in Hotel & Restaurant Management with a minor in Business Administration.
While attending Calvary Apostolic Church in Wichita, KS, under the leadership of his pastor, Nathan Dudley, he completed a three year curriculum from Texas Bible College (EXCEL).
Ministry
He began his ministry in Junction City when he was chosen as Youth Leader in 1991. After graduating from KSU and moving to Wichita he became the Youth Leader and subsequently the Outreach Director at Calvary Apostolic Church. His preaching ministry began and continues under the oversight and mentorship of his pastor, Nathan Dudley of Calvary Apostolic Church in west Wichita. He has held the position of Promotions Director, Sectional Youth Leader, Kansas District Youth President, Sunday School Secretary, acting Sunday School Director, and Kansas Sectional Presbyter. Pastor Hillman received his Ordination in May of 2003. He first pastored a Home Mission Church in Winfield, Kansas for 3 1/2 years before moving back to Wichita in 2005 to begin a new daughter work in southeast Wichita.
A MESSAGE FROM THE PASTOR
Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus! We sincerely pray that you will graciously accept our invitation to visit us.
We are a revival minded and growing church with the mission to minister to the needs of our community.
We are truly living in troublesome times in our world with the Mideast Wars, North Korea's threat of nuclear capability, unmatched violence in society, jails overflowing, drugs and crime running rampant, and our economy in a terrible state. At the same time we are living in a time when there are a lot of "churches", but very little power, deliverance, sound doctrine, or holiness. What there is can be summed up as casual, worldly, hypocritical, ineffective, a form of godliness void of power and holiness. No wonder religion has become unattractive and undesirable - and rightfully so!
At Revival Tabernacle, we believe you can find a relationship with Jesus Christ unlike any you've ever experienced, a place of hope, and a safe harbor in this dark hour! Please join us for a life changing experience!
In His Service,
Pastor Scott Hillman
